Aplicación compositiva estética de los objetos antiguos del ferrocarril en líneas de productos textiles.

Abstract

In this project, compositional graphic pieces were developed to use them in textiles, providing information about the railway history to the consumers. To develop the creative pieces of the most representative objects of this national heritage, research techniques like observation, interview, and survey were used. A public objective was defined to apply the design methodology proposed by Bruce Archer, which requires several stages, starting with the analytical phase where the problem was identified and the necessary information was obtained through photographs, books, and the interviewees' knowledge. Then, the creative phase let analyzed information, synthesized and design ideas were developed with the help of tables and grids. To finish with the methodology, the executive phase was implemented the designs were applied to the textiles and the solution to the problem was obtained. As a result, the history and information of the railroad were spread, applied to a series of products such as hoodies, caps, wallets, jackets, t-shirts, etc. It is concluded that the elements achieve the design parameters, harmony, balance, and proportion in their colors and shapes which help to strengthen the information and history of the railway. As a recommendation, designers are encouraged to obtain a source of inspiration for the creation of new graphic and compositional proposals to contribute to the strengthening of our cultural heritage.
