Análisis de correspondencia múltiple sobre el comportamiento de delitos reportados en el servicio integrado de seguridad ecu 911 en el cantón Riobamba provincia de Chimborazo

Abstract

The present work aims to analyze the behavior of crimes occurred in Riobamba, province of Chimborazo between the years 2018 and 2021. With the help of R software, the database was filtered and each variable was verified through the records provided by Ecu 911; all qualitative variables were classified to run the Multiple Correspondence Analysis, it was possible to observe the behavior of the data through contingency tables. The chi-square test of independence was also applied, by means of which all the dependent variables were obtained, then the variables that contributed directly to the statistical analysis were categorized, finally, the Multiple Correspondence Analysis of the variables was carried out that had an adequate percentage. A total of 16,658 crimes were analyzed during the months of July, August and September, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the Condamine, Politécnica and Estación circuits, from 18:00 to 22:00 is very dangerous, finally after having performed the multiple correspondence analysis, it was obtained that, in the Condamine circuit crimes were committed during the week, in the morning and afternoon hours, while in the Politécnica circuit crimes were committed on weekends at night and finally, in the Estación circuit crimes of physical violence were committed at night hours classified as red code. As a conclusion, it could be generalized that crimes in Riobamba could be reduced by controlling the Condamine, Politécnica and La Estación circuits. Finally, it was recommended that the institution socialize this information with all the associated entities to carry out strategies to help reduce the number of incidents committed.
