Análisis de la situación actual del turismo comunitario vinculado a la ruta del tren patrimonial y ruta subtropical en la provincia de Chimborazo

Abstract

The present research proposes: to analyze the actual situation the community tourism linked to the patrimonial train route and subtropical route in the Chimborazo province; In order to strengthen the development of the community tourism activity, the investigative methods were descriptive and field analytical; It began with the characterization of supply and demand in three stages: 1) through georeferenced information, identifying 7 communities that are directly linked to the train route and 1 to the subtropical route, 2) using the classification of community tourism ventures established by Ochoa, finding 2 ventures in the consolidated typology, 2 in the process of consolidation, 2 in new initiatives and 2 that do not belong to any typology due to their supply characteristics; 3) the diagnostic methodology of the territory proposed by Paredes that analyzes the internal structure of the community and the analysis of the tourism system established by the OMT , afterwards the evaluation of the community tourism product under the methodology of CATIE and Tierra in the business field business and the manual of quality standards of community tourism in relation to the quality of good living and service, obtaining 1 enterprise in category A, 1 in category C and 4 reach category B, consequently an analysis of the problem was carried out the CPES matrix, based on the aforementioned, 33 intervention strategies were formulated. The analysis of the community tourism activity in the Chimborazo province provides real information on the supply and demand of the enterprises to the provincial government to intervene on the deficiencies identified consecutively in the territories.
