Estudio de necesidad de transporte en la modalidad de carga liviana del cantón Guamote, provincia de Chimborazo, período 2016–2018

Abstract

The main aim of this research is studying the necessity of transportation in the light-duty vehicles modality to determine the supply and demand exiting in Guamote, Chimborazo Province, Period 2016-2018. The goal is to evaluate the required vehicle and look after the requirements of the town, this is due to people have the need to move their property in a safe and efficient way. Mainly where the trade activities take place. The transportation service offered by the single-vans bring some trouble to get access to this transportation service. This study of necessity of transportation was done based on the application of surveys. These surveys was taken by the economically active population of Guamote. This population is about 42.907 people, where 381 people were taken as a sample, the informal truckers who offered the light-duty transportation service were also part of this study. The result was an unsatisfied demand from the people of Guamote. The methodology used was the technical guidelines established by the Agencia Nacional de Transito to find the right vehicle required by each parish of the town. La Unidad Municipal de Transporte Terrestre, Transito y Seguridad Vial del Cantón Guamote will get the results of this research, as tools and justification to allow or not to allow the confirmation and delivery of enabling diplomas for the operators of transportation so they offered the service of transportation in the light-duty vehicles modality.
