Elaboración de la documentación y el manual de calidad bajo la norma iso/iec 17025 para el laboratorio de fundición en la facultad de mecánica con fines de acreditación ante el organismo de acreditación ecuatoriano (OAE)

Abstract

A documentation proposal was made to implement the standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in the Casting Laboratory of the Mechanical School of Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo, with the main objective of asking and obtaining the approval from the Ecuadorian Organism of Accreditation (EOA). Its methodology lies in the development of documentation and the Quality Manual; obtained through the analysis of the current situation that presents the Laboratory object of research, the appliance of verification criterian questionnaire for accreditation by the EOA as well as the determination of the procedures required by the laboratory, in such a way that respond to the full warranty of its processes and the certification of its services. The documentation produced will allow the Casting Laboratory of the Mechanical School of Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo to be provided with the documentary based necessary within the Quality Management System to confront the evaluation and accreditation process of Council for Evaluation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (“CEAACES”), such as University of excellence, based on the quality of education provided. This work recommended to apply the Quality Manual, procedures and records, to train to the staff and the Casting Laboratory users about the benefits and the responsibility of the accreditation, because it is very important the implementation of the standard to obtain the expected results.
