Propuesta de un rediseño de planta en la empresa de lácteos LEIDYLAC.

Abstract

This research work aims to redesign one of the plants in the dairy company LeidyLac. The production processes of the company were evaluated by making diagrams and descriptions of the machinery, equipment and the physical areas. Also, the plant facilities were evaluated against the current regulations of ARCSA resolution 067. The indicator of space utilization was used to verify whether the redistribution of the production area was needed. The SLP (Systematic Layout Planning) methodology was used to locate the workstations in a better way and the Guerchet method helped to obtain the total calculation of the area required for the equipment and materials found in the plant. The distribution method by process was performed to check the best distribution; the current one versus the proposed one. This process allowed the evaluators to have the cost of the implementation of the redesign with the relevant corrections stipulated by the ARCSA. The results showed that the infrastructure fulfills 60% of the standards, but the ARCSA stipulates a level of compliance of 80%. Therefore, it is presented a table with the corrections to be made to obtain a level of 100% compliance. Once the Guerchet method was performed the new indicator of space utilization was 100% which is excellent unlike it started with 56%. The implementation of the redesign will cost $ 29 418.29 USD dollars. It was concluded that with the completion of this work we optimize time and space which makes the plant more productive, thus it is recommended the implementation of new machinery to reduce more time.
