Evaluación de dos tipos de balanceados para la etapa de engorde de truchas arco íris (Oncorhynchus Mykiss) en la parroquia Río Negro del cantón Baños, provincia de Tungurahua.

Abstract

This research evaluated the differences between Exibal and other commercial brand feed during the fattening stage in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). For this purpose, a daily dose of each feed was applied, measuring the productive variables, and tabulating all the results for later analysis. The research consisted of comparing the two types of feed for a total number of 2000 fish during a period of 15 weeks, that is to say, 105 days. Within the statistical analysis to measure the variables, descriptive statistics and statistical analysis with the t student were applied. The results obtained indicated that, at the end of the study the Exibal feed was superior to the other commercial brand. The total weight showed to be 275.09 g, size of 34.21 cm, weight gain of 152.61 g, the mortality rate was 0.91% and the B/C of $1.39. U.S. dollars, so it is concluded that the Exibal feed is the ideal alternative for the fattening stage of trout in small and medium fish farmers due to its good performance in the productive variables. It is recommended to carry out studies with other brands for this species and add the rest of the productive stages of rainbow trout.
