Plan de desarrollo turístico para la parroquia Quimiag, cantón Riobamba, provincia de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The present investigation proposes: to elaborate a Tourism Development Plan for Quimiag Parish, Riobamba Cantón, Chimborazo Province: To assess the tourism potential of the territory, the diagnosis was identified through proven information from the sector regarding the parameters: physical-spatial, ecological-territorial, socio-cultural, political-administrative and economic - productive, the inventory of natural and cultural tourism criteria, infrastructure, plant and superstructure. The development plan was carried out through participatory workshops based on the problem, the tourism potential was assessed, through the diagnosis of the current situation and the analysis of supply and demand, and then the philosophical vision of the plan with the analysis of the problem was elaborated: the mission, visión, values, strategic objectives, policies; elements that indicate the means to follow for the fulfillment of tourism development. Three programs and once sustainable projects with a five-year projection are recommended, with an investment of USD 16,700.00 for execution. It is concluded that the Quimiag Parish. has a large number of attractions in the tourism and cultural sector, in which the Yellow Lagoon that stands in the crater of the Altar, Lake Mandur, the snowy Altar and the waterfall stand out de Puelazo, this majestic evolution belongs to the Sangay National Park declared by UNESCO as a Natural Patrimony of Humanity in the year 1983 mainly, among the cultural cultural extend the religious celebrations, such as the feast of the Virgin of Providence, Celebrations San Pedro of Guazazo and San Francisco of Tumba Holidays.
