Diseño de un modelo de control de inventarios, para la distribuidora Lucio Bonilla “Dislub”, de la ciudad de Santo Domingo de los Colorados, provincia de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas

Abstract

The present study entitled: Design of an Inventory Control Model for Distribuidora Lucio Bonilla "DISLUB", located in Santo Domingo de los Colorados city, province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, aims to design an inventory control system to improve the management of the company. The inductive and deductive methods were used, as techniques: an interview guide and an observation guide applied to the personnel involved in the management and control of inventories. As a result, it was found that Distribuidora Lucio Bonilla "DISLUB" has applied the Economic Order Quantity and Order Renewal Point model in the 900ml pure milk item, it has to request 25,525 units in each order, 17 times a year, with an interval time among orders of 21 days and place a new order when its minimum stock reaches 2,395 bags of milk, in such a way that as this product is highly demanded, the distributor does not run out of supply with the risk of losing customers. Thus, the CEO is recommended to apply the designed model to know the optimal amount to order and when to do it, in such a way that resources are optimized and pertinent decisions can be considered in order to improve the business profitability of the company.
