Evaluación de la aclimatación y rendimiento de 10 variedades de clavel (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) en invernadero, cantón Riobamba, provincia de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The current investigation proposes the acclimatization and yield of 10 varieties of carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L) in a greenhouse, Riobamba canton, Chimborazo province. The varieties under investigation were: TI (Grace), T2 (Don Pedro), T3 (10ST120), T4 (12ST355), T5 (Christmas), T6 (Olimpia orange), T7 (Nobbio black heart), T8 (Pink franchesco), T9 (Baccarat pink) and TIO (Everest). A randomized complete block design with 1 OR treatments and 3 repetitions was used. Parameters such as percentage of yield, plant height, stem diameter, the equatorial and polar diameter of the button, days of flowering, yield stems/ha were evaluated, and the economic analysis was performed according to the cost-benefit ratio. It was determined that the varieties that best acclimatized to the internal conditions of the greenhouse during the period from October to May and better results were for the percentage of yield of the Grace variety with an average of 98.22 %, for plant height was the Nobby black heart variety with an average of 99.6 cm, for stem diameter the variety 12ST355 with an average of 1.04 cm, for the largest polar diameter was the Pink franchesco variety, with an average of 4.75 cm, the largest equatorial diameter was the 12ST355 variety with an average of 2.47 cm, for flowering days the Don Pedro variety presented an average of 168 days, the highest number of stems per hectare gave the 1OST120 variety with an average of 3963535.71 stems per hectare, the highest benefit-cost ratio showed the variety (10ST120) with 3,1; recovering the dollar invested and obtaining a profit of 2 dollars with 10 ctvs., with a return of 209,5%. It is recommended to grow from the agronomic point of view the variety of carnation 1OST120 for presenting good physiological, morphological characteristics and better greenhouse yields, Riobamba canton.
